Kern County Fair

This weekend we were able to travel to Bakersfield to watch my brother participate in an FFA (future farmers of America) show at the Kern County Fair. We pretty much go to the fair every year for this event. I LOVE the fair! It's always so fun to see all of the animals and exhibits. Not to mention eating a ton of fattening food.

I wasn't sure if Emily would be old enough to enjoy the fair this year, mostly I was glad that she was walking. The thought of her crawling around the ground that animals do you know what on kind of freaked me out. Anyway, she totally loved it and had a blast petting all of the animals. It was super fun.

To top everything off my little brother won champion of his breed. Way to go Sam!

This last one is just a picture of a really cool looking turkey. I'd never seen a turkey with this type of coloring before.

You guys are such an adorable family! We did a bear hunt with Lily the other day and Ethan said, "I used to do bear hunts with Josh. Didn't he live upstairs from us?" Who says nursery isn't an important time for developing young minds!
