Sandy Cove

My sister introduced us all to a beach on the Sacramento River called Sandy Cove. It's always fun to head out there in the evening for BBQ, picnics, smores, and water play. We went for Meghans sixth birthday last week and as it was a cool day I decided that the kids wouldn't get wet. Haha. Emily ended up in her shirt and panties within about 5 minutes of getting there and the babies were stripped down to diapers shortly thereafter. Emily had a blast playing in the water with Meghan despite the fact that the water was about fifty degrees. Spencer had fun crawling around trying to eat the sand but declined the water play after feeling how cold the water was. Haley decided she didn't like the feeling of the sand and stayed on the blanket or laps for most of the night.
