goats

Where we live we have a lot walking trails and nature preserve areas. Once a year the city teams up with local goat ranchers to "mow" the grass. The workers come through and put up a temporary electric fence and a ton of goats and then every couple of days they move them to the next area for mowing.

Part way through Emily tells me that she sees a Polar Bear. No honey, that's just a giant furry dog.

When we first arrived I tested the electric fences myself to make sure that the current wouldn't hurt the babies if they touched the fence. After feeling a small electric pulse I decided the kids were safe. However, I soon heard a loud ZAP! and Spencer started crying. Evidently snot is a great conductor of electricity.
