Believe it or not...this was our first 4th of July in Los Angeles. We have had a long standing tradition of being in Utah, going to Seven Peaks, and doing fireworks with some of our favoirte people and although we really missed them we managed to have a good time anyway.
We started out by making a great dinner and having over some friends. Then we all jumped in the car and headed over to the Marina for a beautiful fireworks show. Maybe everyone else already knew that fireworks are illegeal in Los Angeles, but it was a surprise to me! Anyway, most of the cities around here put on a pretty good show for free. Emily even managed to get over the loud booming noises and have fun by the end.

Sounds like you guys had fun. Thanks for checking on our apartment while we were out, you guys were such lifesavers.
That's funny you've never been in CA for the 4th. I'd forgotten that fireworks are illegal there, not as fun!
