The NICU staff says the babies are doing well. It's been tough being stuck in the hospital with nothing to do but heal. Every time I hear the neighbors baby crying I wish it were mine. When I see the NICU staff changing my babies diapers I wish it were me. Yeah, so maybe I'm crazy, maybe it's the hormones, but it will be so nice when we actually get to have them to ourselves.
Haley continues to improve. She's not on any breathing treatments and is doing well digesting her food. They've been continually increasing her feedings and she even nursed today. I didn't really expect much, but she ate like a champ. I have high hopes for her to come home within a week or two.
Spencer is improving too, but he still has a bit of ground to cover. As of this morning his chest X-ray says his lungs are clear which is probably why his breathing is starting to improve. It's not consistently better, but it's a start. They just started giving him milk, but he's not really digesting it yet. They said he's diverting all his effort to breathing right now and hopefully the eating thing will pick up in a couple of days.
Now the fun part...pitures

They are beautiful babies. Congrats to you guys.
Oh goodness, Becky. I'm sure you feel like you are on an emotional roller coaster. Keep your chin up and know we are praying for you and the babies. They are adorable. All that dark hair on Spencer!! And what a cute name...love it. :)
They are cute babies even with all the tubes and wires. I love all that dark hair Spencer has. Can't wait to meet them when they come home. I hope you are feeling better and getting up and moving around. I know it is hard to do but it definitely gets easier. Congratulations again!
Beautiful babies, Becky. I can't believe they are here. Soon they will be home.
Becky, we totally know how you feel. It was the same way with me when we had Tori. I think that as a mother you just know that you are the one that should be caring and loving on your baby. (or in your case babies.) :) You will be in our prayers. We are glad that they seem to be doing well!
