The last month has been kind of crazy. It's hard to believe, but the babies are now just one week shy of 3 months...Crazy! Honestly, I hope the next couple of months pass quickly too so that we can start playing and having a little more fun around here. It's still all eat..sleep..cry... around here and it's hard to even enjoy the cuddling time because it's not long before one or the other starts crying again!
Anyway, shortly after Haley came home from the Hospital we all got sick. It started with Emily, then Spencer, then Emily again, then Spencer again, then Haley, then me. Josh is the only one who has escaped unscathed. It's been hard to feel like I've gotten to know the babies very well yet just because I feel like it's hard to judge a kids character by how he acts when sick. The good news is that we're all now (FINALLY) on the road to recovery. I pray we don't get sick again this season, I don't think I could take it.
Haley and Spencer have been fun to have around, a lot of work, but there's fun in there too. They just started smiling this past couple of days...a well earned reward for me after this past month. I also think we may have started to turn a corner with regards to sleep. The past couple of nights we've started getting 4-5 hours a stretch instead of two. It's still not much but it makes a huge difference.
The best thing I can think of to describe Haley is "small and mighty". She's the strongest skinny little thing ever. Already rolls, supports her weight on her feet and scoots a little on her tummy. She's started to make sweet little cooing sounds but also has the loudest cry I've ever heard. It can make your ears ring. We were actually a little grateful when she was sick becasue she lost her voice. Haley is finally fitting well in her newborn clothing and still in newborn diapers. As you can see from the picture below she was completely drowing in her blessing dress. It's even pinned about 4 inches in the back just to keep it on!

For the most part Spencer is a chubby little laid back guy. He likes to snuggle and can pork down a bottle in no time. He generally eats twice as much as his sister. Spencer loves his binki, probably couldn't roll to save his life, and hasn't cared to try to put weight on his legs. Spencer is now in size 1 diapers and is wearing his 0-3 month clothing.
