changes

So we moved about a week ago (I can't believe it's only been a week!). Despite the fact that we still mourn the loss of our friends nearly every day, Josh and I are managing to get on with our lives. Emily on the other hand has taken this move a little harder than the rest of us. The other day she asked to go play with her friends at Parkers house. Sorry kid. Then a couple of days later when we were walking home from the park she said "I need Brent". On top of that she keeps telling me that she wants to go bye-bye to mommy's house. Each day is getting better, I just hadn't anticipated it being as hard for her as it has been.

In the last week we have unloaded all of our worldly belongings into a 11x27 storage unit with a few things remaining with us at my parents house where we are temporarily residing until we are able to buy a home. Josh and I and the babies are sleeping in my parents camp trailer in their backyard and Emily is in the spare bedroom in the house (and I thought I would be upgrading from my 2 bedroom apartment!).



It's a little crazy, but it's actually working out better than I had expected. The good news is that we have put in an offer on 3 houses and are waiting to hear back. They are all short sells, so who knows what will happen, but we are feeling optimistic about two of them because they have already gone through the approval process. If all goes well and according to schedule we should be in a house by the middle to end of March. We'll see.
