What's new with us

We'll I just completed a major blog catch up. I've been meaning to do it for over a month but have just been super busy. Shortly after moving to Sacramento we traveled back South for a wedding and a visit to LA. Then after returning home my step-mom had surgury to remove one of her kidney's. Evidently cancer liked it more than she did, so out it came. Her prognosis is great and recovery is going well. The only thing is that now what I thought would be a couple months of free-loading at my parents has turned into taking care of us and them. Everyone has pitched in but it's still be a lot.

On top of that we've been house shopping. Found a home and then prayed all would go well with it because it's a Short sale which are notoriously complicated. Fortunately all has gone uncharicteristically well and we should be moving in early next week. It's a 4 bed 2.5 bath 2400 sqft 2 story ranch style house. It's in pretty good shape and we're super excited to finally have a space big enough for our family and it's accompanying junk.

Josh is even more excited now that he's reviewed my page long list of improvements I'd like to do (over time). For now all of that will have to wait while we pay off our debts over the next year or two. Getting pregnant (IVF style), two NICU babies for a month, moving, buying a new home, and buying a new car have severely impacted my bank account.
