Halloween Cookies

Let me start by saying that I hate making sugar cookies. I enjoy frosting and eating them, but the rolling out of the dough and the big floury mess it creates is usually enough to deter me from making them. Especially considering I have tile/grout countertops. Messy.

Anyway, this year I bucked up and did it, and surprisingly I think I'll do it again in a few weeks for Christmas. Maybe it's just that I have a larger kitchen now that makes the mess seem smaller, or maybe it was that it was more fun to do with a kid standing at my side. Not sure. However, the end result was that we had fun, ate yummy cookies and possibly gained an extra pound or two.
