Birthday fun

I think we had a pretty fun birthday. It started with getting up and finding her new wagon. She's wanted one for ages but I kept putting it off for her birthday...and was glad I did because it ended up on clearance for half off! She was pretty excited about the wagon and as expected when it came time to leave the house that afternoon she threw a bit of a fit about not being able to take it with us.



When we finally got up and going enough to leave the house we went to Party city to load up on goodies for the party later in the day. I'm pretty sure she had a good time at the store filling my cart full of things that we didn't buy. I think we were about the only people in the store so I just let her look through whatever she wanted. I'm sure the clerks didn't enjoy reshelving everything we didn't purchase, but they looked kind of bored anyway.

After Party City we spent the rest of the afternoon swimming. She had a fun time running around the pool with friends.

Party time! Despite the fact that this party was very last minute we had a really good time with our friends. We kept it pretty simple just having cake and ice cream and let the kids run around the pool area. They had a great time splashing in the puddles and swimming in the "hot pool" aka: jacuzzi. In fact we had so much fun that we didn't even get to open presents before she needed to go to bed. I guess we'll open presents tonight after Josh gets home from work. Probably won't ever get away with doing that again! Thanks to everyone who came to celebrate with us and help make her day special.
