Utah trip - December 2011

Josh had a little time off so we decided that we'd load up the morning after Christmas and drive to Utah to spend a little time with his family. It had been awhile since we had been there and none of his family had even met Collin yet. Unfortunately the thing I remember most about this trip is that we all got the stomach flu a few days after we got there. On the night we arrived at Josh's sisters house all four of my kids started throwing up. EVERYWHERE. By the middle of the night I was sick too. It was awful. I wanted nothing more than to be home. Immediately. Unfortunately the only way home involved taking four barfing kids and sick parents on a twelve hour drive through the mountains, not really a good option. I don't think that I'll ever be able to say thank-you enough to my kind sister-in-law who cleaned up a whole lot of messes for a day or two, did a lot of laundry, and then whose kids started throwing up the day we left. Poor thing. I think I will be apologizing and thanking her for the rest of my life. Seriously, she was a Saint. Anyway here are the few pictures we did get..... Some Bouncy House place. The little kids were too afraid to play, but Emily had fun. Dinosaur Museum at Thanksgiving Point Temple Square It was really fun taking the kids to see the lights at Temple Square. We hadn't been in years and the kids loved it. If only it hadn't been Sooooo Cooooold! Seriously, we froze our California behinds off.
