Weight Loss...My fat family

Family Fat Camp...what can I say I have a fat family (parents, sisters, and brothers) We are an insult to the potential of our bodies. My body is no where near being a temple, it's more like the city dump! This December we decided to do "The Biggest Loser" in our family.

My individual goal this year is to lose 30lbs this year. Of course it seemed like climbing Mount Everest and I felt like I could never do it. However my little sister turned me on to an online calorie counter called myfooddiary.com this has made it sooo easy for me. It's always so much easier to get fat than to get skinny, and I've never been good at dropping the pounds, but I am feeling really excited about this now. I don't feel deprived or hungry and still eat what I want and am losing anyway. It will calculate how many calories you should eat each day based on your current weight and your goal weight. I think the coolest part is that you can type your recipes into it and it figures out how many caolries and how much fat is in a casarole, I think it really just keeps me honest with myself.

Sorry if I'm too excited about this, but it has somehow turned my Mount Everest into a walk in the park. My goal now feels completely doable! Hopefully this feeling will continue, I'm going to try to update my progress at least once a month so that I can be accountable to myself and whoever reads this blog.

So far I'm down about 6lbs. At -15 lbs I get to get a haircut, and at -30 lbs I get to buy new clothes...yeah! Now if only I could get Josh to stop buying ice cream!
