Official Birthday pic

I finally got around to taking Emily for her one year pictures. It couldn't have gone more wrong before we got there. First, she refused to nap. Then when I was ironing her new white shirt (not on the ironing board...on the floor) I melted the carpet and then proceeded to iron the melted carpet onto her shirt. Fortunately I was able to scrape it all off. Then we arrive at the studio and I forgot to bring her shirt. I had no back-up as I brought her in her P.J.'s. So, I went downstairs to Gap and found a really cute shirt on clearance, CHEAP! I whip out my wallet to find that I left my credit card and debit card in the pants I wore yesterday. I ask for a pen to write a check...they don't take checks...I am now the proud owner of a GAP card.

Oh well, it was worth it and now we have this cute little picture of our sweet little girl! Again, the quality isn't super as it is a scanned image.

I love it! She is so sweet. And I love the shirt. You know, you can use your gap card at Banana Republic and old navy too...I'm sure they gave you that spiel.
Happy days with a busy baby.

Oh goodness, what a day for Murphy's Law. You couldn't have arranged all that if you tried! It's days like those that HF teaches us patience :o)

On the upside, that new shirt is almost as adorable as the little girl inside of it.

Sorry your day went so wrong!

When I read this it took everything not to laugh, but all I could do is laugh. Didn't you forget your wallet once before when you took her to get her pictures done. The picture is very cute.
