Yet another "perfect" trip to Target

I knew it was going to be a bad one when Emily started pleading for me not put her in the basket before we even reached the front of the store. Then, since the cart I had chosen didn't have any straps I decided just to stick her in the basket.

Somewhere amid the swimsuit section she dumped all of her apple crisps on the floor, and later I stepped (almost slipped) in a puddle of water on the tile...I was secretly hoping it wasn't from some kid who waited too long to head to the bathroom. We continue throuh the store with her screaming and trying to climb out of the basket. Honestly, the reactions you get from some people are surprising. It doesn't really bother me that much, except that today the climbing out was a pain (note to self: check cart for straps before entering store). Anyway, again I step in a puddle over by the catfood and think to myself that the store is a bit of a mess today. More screaming, more climbing out. Get to the cosmetics section and decide I'm thirsty...reach in bag for water bottle that wasn't there...find water bottle upside down and open in the bottom of the cart...yes, evidently I was the one leaving puddles all over the store! The bottle was half empty. Ooops. More screaming. More climbing out. Proceed to check out.

Buy a package of fruit snacks. Silence.

Oh yeah, I forgot to buy the main thing I went there for and will probably have to go back tonight after Josh gets home. Lucky me.

I honestly think someone could publish a book full of grocery store stories. We all have our share of them. Thanks for the laugh.

haha...great water bottle story. Bummer you didn't get what you needed at Target! If it's the same one I usually go to, I truly feel for you!

Don't you just love trips like that! I've started to plan shopping trips for when I can leave Spencer with Paul. Some kids are not good shoppers!

Your ultrasound picture is darling, hi little babies!
