Haley's home!

It's been a bit of a crazy week. Haley was scheduled to come home last Friday at 12:30PM. Josh was going to work a half day and then come home so that we could go pick her up. However, as I expected...Josh couldn't get himself out of the office in time so we had to call the hospital to tell them we wouldn't be able to make it until around 4:00PM. They said that was fine, but then we received a phone call around 2:30 saying that they decided not to dischargeher after all. I guess "better late than never" doesn't apply here! They said that they thought her ability to nipple was getting worse and that they wanted to do an ultrasound on her brain to be sure she wasn't bleeding. It was a little scary, but we both felt sure that her nippling wasn't really getting worse, just that she was very inconsistent and that the dotor had cought her at a bad time. We still had to wait and worry for two days though because they scheduled the ultrasound for Monday.

Monday afternoon I decided to call the hospital to see if they had the ultrasound results yet. The nurse came to the phone and told me that the ultrasound was fine and that we needed to come up to the hospital because they were discharging Haley. Again, they surprised me. I thought after receiving no advance notice of Spencer's disharge that I wouldn't be surprised when it happened again. Wrong. Somehow they managed to get me twice.

It's been fun having them both home and really not as sleepless as I would have thought (probably because Josh is home from work and is getting up to help out). So far everyone is managing okay but it makes me a bit nervous about how things are going to go in a few weeks when I'm home alone with all three kids. I'm sure I'll figure it out but it's a little intimidating. Anyone who has their flu shot and wants to hold babies is welcome at my house anytime...except nap time of course!

As a coming home gift Haley bought Emily the book "Go Away Big Green Monster!" It was perfect. We couldn't even get her to look up from reading it to say Cheese.

Glad to hear Big Green Monster was a hit. My girls love that book. I'm so happy and thrilled all your kiddos are home and safe. The babies are adorable. :)

I am so glad the family is finally all together. What a great feeling. Such cute babies!!

Hey if you need some encouragement for doing three kids, you should read my sister's blog (Mosleys linked on my blog). She had a little boy the same week you had Emily and then had identical twin girls in February at about 34 weeks. She went through a similar hospital experience as you guys. Then she moved to Michigan in April. I don't know how she does it but she does and her kids are doing great. You can do it!!

Wish we could see your babies, but we never get flu shots in our family.
