Random pictures and updates

Well life at home just continues to march on as if nothing has changed. Life right now just feels strange. It feels so normal to just have Josh, Emily and I at home...yet there's just this nagging feeling that something's not right. Overall things are good. We're tired from the seemingly endless commute back and forth from the hospital, but happy. Emily has been a trooper and is adjusting to the fact that mom ditches her twice a day and she gets to hang out with grandma. She doesn't really understand that the babies are here and are ours, but she can tell you their names and knows that she's their sister.

Haley

Spencer and Haley continue to improve. Haley is now rid of her IV and is getting all of her food from milk. She's a lazy little bug and never wants to wake up to eat so she mostly gets her milk through her feeding tube. We're hoping that she starts to wake up in the next week or so. She's now down to just 4lbs. and is starting to receive supplemental calories that get added to her milk. We've got to fatten this little girl up. We still can't figure out who she looks like. She's just a funny tiny girl with spikey hair.

Spencer is quickly starting to catch up with his sister. He out weighs her by almost a pound now (he just got back to his 4lb 12oz birth weiht today). He's been off the oxygen support for about two days and should get his canula(funky nose breathing tube) removed tonight. It will be nice to see his little face with one less tube. He's been doing much better at tolerating his feedings and his milk volume is being increased almost every feeding. Hopefully he will be rid of his IV in just a couple more days.

We still have no idea when they will be coming home. Maybe in the next two weeks. Neither one of them seem to have enough energy to nipple all of their feedings yet and they still need to gain more weight. It's really just wait and see from day to day.

They are so sweet and tiny! I hope they continue to gain weight to they can come home soon. In the meantime, get some rest!! It doesn't seem right, but thats what I did when Abby was kept in the hosp and it was nice to be rested up when she came home. :)

Love to see those cuties. Get some sleep in between going to the hospital. You will need it when you get them all home. I have to say though, that the hospital time was the hardest of all. It's exhausting. Best of luck.
