10 months old

I love this age. Well, I love lots of things about different ages but this one is nice. They're getting themselves around pretty well, but not too fast yet. They babble a little saying sweet little "mama's", but the can't say no or stupid. I think the only thing I would really change about this age is how they wiggle and try to flip over every time I change a diaper (x2) what a pain!

Haley actually started crawling almost a month ago, and Spencer about a week ago. It's so fun to watch the things they go after, it's nice to learn what they're really interested in. I love that their personalities are really starting to emerge. I love that Emily can get them laughing in hysterics when we can't. Sweet. I love that I no longer feel guilty when they cry in their beds during the day so nap time is nap time whether they're sleeping or not. I love that they "mostly" sleep through the night. Now if only we could figure out how to ditch that last early morning feeding.

Haley continues to be a very determined little girl. I have a sneaky feeling that she's going to be strong willed and quite possibly my little "holy terror". Yesterday she actually threw a little tantrum every time she hiccoughed. I didn't think kids this young actually threw fits. I was wrong. She also get's pretty upset when Spencer takes toys away from her....but guess who taught him that trick? Haley has been the master toy snatcher for several weeks and Spencer has just started picking up on it. I say good for him. It does however make me dread the toddler years just a bit.

Spencer is pretty laid back except for right when Daddy gets home, or if he sees the cats or a dog. He gets all excited, bangs his arms or claps and squeals. Unfortuantely it's a horrible squeal that makes both of his sisters cry and his Mom want to stuff cotton in her ears. Hopefully he'll learn to talk soon so the squealing can stop.

They have both come to enjoy going to the pool lately. Thank goodness...cause' we were going to go to the pool wether they liked it or not! Here's a couple of pictures from the other day.
