We had a nice fourth of July this year. We were a little sad missing our friends and traditional fireworks at the Marina, but excited about new friends and traditions too. We started out the day with a trip to the swimming pool and then put the kids down for a nap. After nap we had a nice BBQ with my sister and her family, did some kid friendly fireworks in our backyard and then headed out to the city light display at a local park. I honestly didn't have very high expectations for the city display but was pleasntly surprised. It lasted a very long time and had a lot of light and color. Actually, with all three of my kids crying it lasted a little too long. haha. Oh well, they'll get used to it in time.

The next day (actual 4th)we had a fun night hanging out with Josh's aunt and uncle, and his cousins family. We had another yummy BBQ and it was topped off with even better homemade ice cream.
