Ward Christmas Party

Our ward Christmas party was Saturday night and we had a great time. We were asked to dress the kids up as animals for the nativity scene. I found a great idea for making sheep costumes from my friend Heidi (thanks!). Just staple batting to a garbage bag and voila! Sheep! We used target bags with the bottoms cut out and used the handles as arm holes.

My friend Stephanie came over one day and we made four costumes for the little babies in our ward. They are supposed to have hats too, but none of them would wear them. Actually, only two of the kids would even wear the costumes. I think everyone had a good time...especially the older kids who were pulling off handfuls of batting and throwing them around for a pretend snowball fight.

Emily's little costume is so cute! And I love her outfit for your family pictures. The Getty is fun. We were allowed to go on P-Days and I went twice, maybe three times. (Beat hanging out at the church while the Elders played basketball!) We were able to park in a parking lot somewhere and a shuttle took us up for free to the Getty. And, boy, do See's truffles sound scrumptious right now! That is so fun you put those in your advent calendar. Happy Holidays!

Justin won't stop talking about the "snowball fight"!! Obviously the best part of the party for him! :) The kids had so much fun, and I think the adults kinda did too!
P.S. - We are LOVING the treats you brought over tonight! Thank you so so so much! YUMMY!!! Mmmmm....
