Day 2 - 8/3/08

We started this day out by ditching church. I know that's bad, but after the exhausting previous day we decided to lay low. We didn't even change our minds after hearing that President Monson has a house in the neighborhood and sometimes comes to the ward we would have gone to. Really, we never never ever ever ditch church.

Anyway, the highlight of this day was Emily's birthday celebration. Yes, it's a bit early, but it was the only day that we could get Josh's family together on a weekend. Weekdays would have been too late as some people had to travel pretty far. So we all got together at Scera Park for a BBQ and B-day cake. As we were tired and had spent the previous day traveling, I decided just to go to Wal-mart and buy a simple baby cake...despite the fact that it wasn't a special cake, the memories of those first bites will always stay with me. I can't belive how fast this year has gone by!
