Day 6 - Ogden

Today we drove down to Ogden to spend some time with Josh's sister Kiersten and her cute family. Kiersten has three young girls (under 4) and Emily had a great time crawling after them and playing with all of their toys.

I think what I'll most remember about this day with the cousins is that the bigger girls just wanted to hold Emily the entire time. Despite the fact that Emily does not like being held right now the girls tried their best anyway. I really wish we had gotten a picture of them "holding" her. I just remember walking by one time and seeing Emily being lifted around the waist by Morgan. Poor Emily's face was turning bright red..I don't think she could breathe too well in this position! Anyway, the girls had fun and I scored some cute shoes while shopping with Kiersten.

Another memorable moment of the day occured later in the afternoon. Kiersten and her girls and I went to the mall to do some shopping while Josh stayed home with Emily so that she could take a nap. When Emily woke up Josh met up with us at Wal-Mart. When we got to the store and found Josh he was walking around with Emily who had no pants on! I ask Josh where her pants are and he said that he didn't bring them. When I asked him why he didn't think she needed pants he said ..."hey at least I remembered the baby right?". What a dad moment! It wouldn't have been that big of a deal except for the fact that we were going from there out to eat with his cousin Matt and his family. Emily scored some new pants from Wal-Mart that day!

That's funny, such a guy thing! They are clueless sometimes. I've left Paul home, and I'll come home later in the day to kids still in the pajamas, and ask why he didn't get them dressed! That's why they aren't the mama!
